After BBC bosses get a no from Noel Gallagher, Westlife’s Nicky agrees to take part in Strictly Come Dancing

Noel Gallagher said no, so BBC bosses have turned to squeaky clean Westlife Nicky Byrne to star in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
The You Raise Me Up singer is in final talks with producers and is said to be ‘thrilled’ with the offer.
Noel, 45, was said to be very ‘flattered’ by the offer but told BBC bosses flat-out he wouldn’t be donning any sequined outfits any time soon.
But married Nicky is thought to be rubbing his hands with glee at his chance of getting back into the spotlight.
An insider told The Daily Star Sunday: ‘Nicky’s management think it will be great for him and he is really excited about it.
‘He’s done lots of dancing and loves to perform but he’s never done anything like this before.’
And far from tempted with the ‘Strictly curse’ of falling in love with his partner, Nicky, 33, has told his wife of eight years Georgina, 33, he will be on his ‘best behaviour’.
A friend of the singer said: ‘Georgina has seen him dance with hundreds of sexy girls on tour and she trusts him.’
Westlife split last year and are due to perform their last ever concert at Dublin’s Croke Park on June 23.
