FORMER Westlife star Nicky Byrne revealed one of his favourite things since quitting the band is being able to have breakfast with his family.

The dad of two was back in his old school to launch this year’s Cheerios Childline Breakfast Together Week.

Nicky is an ISPCC ambassador and was asked to launch the event in Peter & Paul National School in Baldoyle, Dublin.

Nicky said: “I love breakfast time with the boys and Georgina although with them now at school it can be a bit manic in the morning.”

School principle Donal O’Donoghue asked Nicky for a few dance moves but he decided to hold his cha, cha, cha for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

Over the past five years the Cheerios event has become an important fundraiser for Childline and last year more than EUR260,000 was raised for Childline.

Thousands of people hosted breakfasts big and small across the country and the aim this year is to have more than 3,500 registrations from schools, creches, companies and families by October 8. Check out www.childlinebreakfast.ie for more information.
